Our Work

At 9 years old, Ryder built his own business selling birdhouses in order to raise money for people without homes, and to buy the new Animal Crossing game for his Nintendo Switch. He researched birdhouse designs; figured out how many birdhouses he needed to sell; priced out his materials; took out a loan from his aunt; measured, cut, hammered and painted custom birdhouses for his customers; paid back his loan; and made a decent profit! He reflected on his experience in a two paragraph paper. He noted, "The best part of this business is giving money to people who need it."
